On February 11, ITaRS-fellow Pilar Gumà-Claramunt defended her PhD thesis on "Synergy between Doppler radar and Raman lidar for aerosol investigation" at the University of Basilicata.
ITaRS fellow presents new study at the 96th annual meeting of the American Meteorological Society (AMS)

Robert Banks, an ITaRS fellow at Barcelona, presented a poster titled, “Meteorological applications of a continuously-operating micropulse lidar in Barcelona, Spain” at the 2016 annual meeting of the AMS. The work (Banks et al., 2015) synergizes use of a micropulse lidar (MPL), radiosoundings, and a numerical weather prediction model to study the planetary boundary layer (PBL).
ESR3 participation at the OSCAR final workshop
The final workshop of the regional project OSCAR (Observation System for Climate Application at Regional scale) was held in Potenza on 20th January 2016.
